The Quiet Calm of Summer

It has been pretty quiet since our last blog post given the natural cycle of our quarterly meeting schedule.

We received contributions from 104 members after our first meeting which means that we proudly presented Young Adult Cancer Canada with a cheque for $10,400!

We look forward to having Geoff Eaton of YACC come visit us at our next meeting on October 20th at the Capital Hotel to share with us the impact of our contribution to their great organization.

With our next meeting quickly approaching we are looking forward to finding out who the three nominating members will be and which charities they want the membership to consider for our next contribution.

As our membership continuing to grow, we look forward to making an even bigger impact for a deserving charity. We are currently at 133 members which puts us well within reach of the 150 member goal we set after our first meeting.

The amazing team at JAC recently put together our latest ‘Feature Member’ profile where we learn about Mike Wahl and why he is passionate about the Purple Lights Campaign for Pancreatic Cancer.

Read more about Mike here http://www.100mennl.ca/member/mike-wahl/ and watch the video interview here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEj-ydEOwxw.

Ultimately, our goal is to include as many people as possible so that we can support the wonderful work our local charities do, in funds, exposure, and awareness.

If you have any questions about how to get involved as a member or a sponsor write Sean at info [at] 100mennl.ca or visit our website www.100mennl.ca.

Men from the St. John’s area getting together to make a big impact through the co-ordination of small gestures. Meeting quarterly, we hear about three charities doing great work in our community and then we vote for which will receive our money. 100 men x $100 = BIG impact!!
